I've decided to destroy my stamp collection and the envelopes, they look quite sinister now!!! Poor Charles, he really has done it now. How on earth can he get Helen to marry him under false pretences? Would it be an instant divorce if she ever found out? But even before he has to worry about that, he has to get back into her good books, hurting her the way he did will make for a really difficult task. Have I told you before ... I don't like Jeanne? LOL. Well done, Tony, another great chapter. :) Sandra xx

Wow! An exciting chapter. Why is it that women think it's okay to throw stuff at men? Never figured that one out. Anyway, this is a super write and I only have one question/suggestion for your consideration:

We specifically asked you not to tell Miss Culverson anything about our plans as((at)) this stage.

Enjoyed very much!!

Another exciting chapter, Tony! Poor Charles really needs to avoid making such assumptions as to who might have a "gun" at his back. I think Mme Durand has some other secret she's trying to hide. I wouldn't believe her.

Still no SIXES till this arvo. Another good chapter. More twists and turns. Plot still thickening. They really have Charles in a bind huh! Well done, no spags.

Here Charles was thinking Helen was playing a trick with a toothbrush. What a scary moment for him. Madame was right, though, that he should have realized a modern gun wouldn't have gone off like that, but that would be small consolation if it had hit him. They're certainly asking a lot of him telling him to marry Helen. I hope he doesn't do that. If Helen and Madam have a relationship, that's on their shoulders.

Thanks for your comments, Yvonne. They are always useful. Knowing how readers are reacting to various characters helps me to determine what does or does not happen to them. All the best. Tony.

That is a very well written and interesting chapter in your book. The agent in training certainly had a rough day for several reasons. I like the pace of the action and the unexpected events. I appreciate how you ended the chapter on an unexpected note. Bill

Wow, the thought of going to Hindu Kush with evidence of a capital offence seems a bit mucj, but that's the way it is I suppose. The character of Charles Brandon really is a naive one. A clever plot Tony, well thought out and quite complex, well done, blessings, Roy

Sorry, no sixes left. Poor Charles, he does have problems with women. Some of it he brings on himself. LOL So, do I take it he's going to marry Helen. That should be interesting, especially since she's furious with him. LOL And of course the journal.
