In my opinion, a stunning and "Exceptional" write in smoothly illustrative and fluid free verse - the read carried me to distant lands easily and with feelings of warm enjoyment. It is a captivating journey without physical limitation - you achieved your objective in this beautiful free verse poem...

From the first line, your fine poem captured me and whisked me away to
places of mystery and beauty. You have made excellent use of specific details and enhanced your theme with the element of daydreaming.

You can go anywhere and feel anything in your imagination. It is great to be able to travel in reality too. Traveling teaches you so much about others and yourselves. But wherever you go, it is always great to be home again.

Hi estory, I loved this free verse poem about travelling to remote places and dreaming about it. As you know by now, I've been fortunate to have been to all those places, and what your poem did for me was to give me a journey through all those memories. Thanks so much for doing that.
You are a master of the free verse with its pace and the imagery. All the best. Ulla:))

I held off reviewing this wonderful poem of yours until I had a 6. I love it for its imagination and its sweep of understanding that so resonates with me: the fragments of remembered images like postcards; the desire to step aside for contemplation and daydreaming.
Favourite lines:
We find ourselves here,
There, everywhere.
And nowhere.
(and many other lines to savour)
When I read this line (Stars studding the skies of the outback / Like castaways) I initially thought the castaways image spoke of a coastal environment and was not the right choice of word, but then I realised how even more appropriate a choice it was, because of the dislocation and desolation of the metaphoric 'inland sea' of the outback.
Perhaps this should be 'past'? - Passed the bearded men of Ipanema

This was a great meandering kind of poem. Well done. Mesmerising as well. Only one little correction suggested. Pas(t)[sed] the bearded men of Ipanema

Just beautiful estory.
My favorite line...
'like castaways.' I can
picture that in the vast
Australian skies.
I LOVE the thought of
travel. Unfortunately,
it's not financially
feasible...BUT...I travel
every night through my books.
Tonight...Texas...'The Last
Picture Show.'
LOVED THIS...but out of sixes!
Blessings...

Comment from C. Gale Burnett
As I read this wonderful three-part poem, I began to daydream. It was just today, more so than ever, that I was yearning for opportunities to travel, experience, touch, feel, taste all the unknowns of my dreams. I had to console myself, acknowledging it wouldn't likely happen here on this earthly plane (for me, anyway), but I would definitely see it all on the other side.
Part I was my absolute favorite, and, of course, the very last verse.
So much to ponder in this beautiful poem!

Life is fulfilled and satisfactory if we appreciate the value of travelling and travel or visit new places, and or spend our time in Nature at different places, leaving our routine life; well said, well done. Write to inspire, readable for years -- DR ALCREATOR

I have traveled fairly extensively, and the euphoria you've created in your fine freestyle is coming close, of course, like pain, one can't really share the emotion, the aromas, the sounds, the visual impression that one captures, just hints of it. And it's best shared with a companion(s) But beautifully written, I felt some of the the parts highlighted. Good job, blessings, Roy
