Hi Sergent Floyd, I enjoyed your poem on trees, their variety in flexibility and their strength. Just like us women! LOL (I'm going to get away with that because of Mother's Day) Nice work :)

I really love the metaphors used in your poem. You are very descriptive and loads of saved imagination in your memory base. You used them very wisely in this poem to describe a barren land, once full of life and colours. Well done. Thank you for sharing this beautiful poem.

Many wonderful images here.
Is "circuitous circles" a redundancy? Is that on purpose?
"Each meadowy willow land a tombstone dune. -- Is each willow the tombstone dune, or is it the land? Just a thought.
Is it gallow's or gallows'?

This is really beautifully written. I especially like the sounds of "a shrubbery of regrets" and "a gallow's shade, a dead man's purse."

This is fantastic... such wonderful imagery to be moved by on first contact, then to savour and think about, then to understand on a personal level.
I particularly liked these lines: "The willow's roots sink far below ground.
They are stronger than caskets. They break bones until they are dust."
and also "a tombstone dune" and "Outside of Eden. Inside the park."
Very visual but also very heart and mind.

This is a wistful write about the history contained in our landscapes, I often think like this when I view a beautiful scene, how many human eyes have also appreciated it and how much death and life the scene holds, your words are deep and meaningful here, love Dolly x

Wow -- this one has those echos of emotions laced throughout and your use of the willow as sad and weeping and life-giving, with deep roots below that are strong and unforgiving... I love it!! :) Yes, even the mystery of the 'wildling' that's hidden 'outside Eden' yet 'inside the park' echoes questions the reader carries with them! ;); ) Thanx for sharing! :)
