To come so close and then survive is truly a gift and would make you hold that which was almost lost, so precious. You certainly got your message across in a very beautifully crafted poem.

No, we mustn't give up - God's not finished with us yet, if we're still here. I want to be ready when God points the way to another action, duty, person to encourage, deed to fulfill.
Thanks for the thinking poem.

A very well-written heartfelt and encouraging poem. Sometimes it is hard to stand against the troubles of the world that seem to escalate and we have no answers anymore, then we know it is time to ask the Lord to take control over our lives.

-Nice image, kahpot.
-Your note is appreciated.
-It is nice to see you on FS, too.
-The imagery is very good
as you describe this emotional journey.
-After the "murky grey," you
change direction in the middle.
-You see your life passing by,
but you notice that things
are worth fighting for.
-Finally, the mood changes
to one of hope at the end.
-Thanks for sharing, and
I hope things are good with you.

What a wonderful poem of coming out of the darkness into the light. The pain is so apparent in the beginning, but then the clear thoughts come through seeing life from a different perspective. Well done this was a pleasure to read. :) Sandra xx

Hello my friend. You certainly touch on dying in a very vivid way. Your words seem so eerie in their voicing.
One does wonder what lies beyond, do we not? I liked these lines in particular: (Great use of verbs here:)
"I saw the passing of a life once mine
as my will resisted this darkened time
a strength emerged from pain inside
drawing me out like the ebbing tide
reminding me of a wondrous light"
Suggestion: It is "wondrous" not "wonderous"

This is a lovely, touching, well-written poem. Your lines smoothly take the reader from the descent to the bottom of a pit to being lifted from it
by desire to return to the love of life.
