You are practising the art of the short form poem, Wendy. Well penned Lune poem. Anticipating a breakfast catch, they are optimistic fishermen. Love the colours in the artwork.
cheers,
valda

Thanks for the second review Valda. Since I tend to write long, it is good for me to try these short ones from time to time to force me to rein in my Tome Tendencies. -

Good evening, Wendy
Your little Lune Poem leaves your reader much to ponder and visualise.
Being a nature lover, I'd like to think the trout ate first :)
much love

Thanks for the review Tracey and I am also betting on the trout. Pretty sure there is a meandering mosquito in its future. - Wendy

It's not much past dawn here but we're behind a bit of a hill so the gold is only just starting to hit the top of the trees. I believe trout are notoriously hard to catch. Good luck in the contest.

This is an interesting Lune poem, Wendy. I like the catchy theme. I expect the fisherman may get the fish, unless somehow the trout can escape the hook with the bait. Marilyn

Good morning Marilyn, I stumbled on the theme as I sat on the front porch pondering what I was going to prepare the guests for breakfast. As dawn arrived with its attendant bugs. I thought I wouldn't have to cook at all if they were birds or fish . . . .

A very well-written lune poem about an early morning fishing expedition. It is hard to decide who are the successful fishermen the fish that gets away with the bait of the men who catch the fish.
