A lovely thought in six words. You made every word count. I hope new dads will see the baby as bringing as shift in their lives--maybe being there to help with its care. A great idea, but to me it depends on the picture, though, for meaning. Best of luck in the contest. judi

What an endearing picture, Melissa. He's got the whole world in his hands. He looks like a good daddy. Yes, a new arrival changes everything and things are never the same afterward. Good Luck in the contest. Nancy:)

What a sweet poem. The picture is just as lovely. You're so right, a baby will change your entire world, the way you view things. Good luck with your contest.

Good Morning, Melissa!
So very true! The world dramatically shifts with the birth of a precious baby. I not only appreciate your well-chosen words but also the indentation in your presentation to signify a shift.
Thank you for sharing!
Best Wishes!

Thanks so much, Diane... you seem to be the only one to recognized the deliberate shift.. Very clever, my friend!

This is absolutely the truth of what my world was. When my son arrived it was not about anything other than my son. And this is a beautiful photo. I do not know Melissa if he will ever get to the point where he will experience this. I hope he does, but I know that he early on weathered a blow in his personal life that has made it difficult for him to imagine having children of his own. I pray that he finds the miracle in this 6 small word poem that speaks such large volumes and to me is worthy of every six I have ever had! I hope all is going well on your end! Cheers, Fonda

Hello Fonda... You are such a dear to share your story with me... also the story about your son. Little ones do change our lives and we are never complete without them from that time forward. I am delighted you liked it.

A very well-written six-word poem about our selfish ways of living change the minute we hold a little child of our own in our arms, then our world shift and make them the number one in our world.

This is so true. Our life changes when we have children. This is a perfect poem for today. It's Mother's Day here in Spain.
Thanks so much for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Poignant words Melissa and having children makes us much less selfish, I so agree, we think about the needs of another and it makes us more rounded as people, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Thank you, Dolly, for your comments. It does seem that a parent does go through a metamorphose when they have children. I am glad you liked it.

How sweet! A world of love captured in six words. Nothing more important than the birth of a child. Great artwork as well. I loved this, Melissa.
