A lovely family story that involves conflicts that originate from different family backgrounds and customs. You, tell a very well thought out and detailed account and it was well worth the read. Thanks for sharing a chapter in your book and keep writing, you have a good story to tell.
Cheers, Kev.

I got the gest of the story about the old sailor who had been treated badly all his life and doesn't want to be a burden to his son and daughter-in-law. It has really good bones. If I may, I'd like to make a few suggestions: "grandpa" is one word and "maybe" is also one word. "Whatsoever" is also one word but has evolved into "whatever." Lastly: Did you ever "feel" not felt. I am always excited when someone catches mistakes that I can correct and make my writing stronger, I hope you are okay with this.
