Okay, I have a Time reference for you: I'm getting all wound up here!! As time is ticking away, like it was for Cinderella, toward the final strike of the clock, my nerves and I are feeling alarmed. xo

Time is such a delicate, but very stubborn article. When it strikes, watch out. There are a few time-travel books on here now, it's becoming very popular again. (Thank goodness) xxxxx

Dear Sandra, I almost missed this chapter, which was essentially Amelia's and a good read. Even someone as evil as Charles, I find it strange he does not seem at all bothered about an unseen hand taking the crumpled letter out of his pocket and seeing it floating across the room - spooky LOL.
'His eyes pierced Amelia's' - a rather strong use of metaphor! He gave Amelia a piercing look...maybe. You are a master at cliff-hanger endings. It is a sure fire way of assuring readers will be eagerly waiting for the next chapter. Well done and well written - warm wishes Dorothy xxx

I've just re-read that sentence, LOL, you are the only one to have picked that up! I'm changing that right now.
Thank you so much, Dorothy. I'll be posting the next part in the morning. It's just about ready but I'll check it over again in case I have made any more booboos. :)) Thank you so much for reading this part after it had finished the promotion. That was so kind of you, my friend, and thank you for the help and the lovely review. Big hugs! Sandra xxx

I have a strange feeling Tommy did something romantic and asked Mildred to marry him!!

I suppose I'll have to wait and see. :-)

Good chapter. How brave Amelia is!!

I would've caved to Charles, the creepy Toad.

I've got the next part ready and working on the following one. Not many chapters left now, so a lot will have to be sorted if Charles is to be stopped. Thank you, dear friend, for this lovely review and the shiny 6 stars. Big hugs, and lots of love. Sandra xxx

Charles played a mind game with Amelia and lost. He tried to intimidate his aunt, but she actually enjoyed the confrontation with her nephew. Charles has met his match. Amelia is strong, determined, and out for revenge.
Another well-written chapter. I can't wait for the next one. Like Aunt Amelia, I want to know what the ladies are going to do next?

Thank you so much, Sandra, for another of your lovely reviews. Aunt Amelia is a lot stronger than Charles realised, and she is enjoying the challenge to get justice for Gladys. Thank you again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra,
Another delightful chapter. I especially love the session with Charles. What an arrogant putz! And so in character for him to make the derisive comment about "we" not granting women the right to vote! Such a chauvinist!
I am wondering about the following punctuation, and am offering this suggestion:
Whoever came up with the old 'adage', if looks could kill, most certainly had Amelia's nephew in mind. Instead: Whoever came up with the old adage, "If looks could kill," most certainly had Amelia's nephew in mind.

Hope this helps!
A most enjoyable read!
Thank you!
diane

Thank you so much for that, Diane, I think my brain took flight when I put the apostrophes on 'adage', lol. I've gone back and changed it. Men were very chauvinistic in those days, many still are! Amelia is a character who was ahead of her time when it comes to fighting back. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

I enjoyed every single aspect of the story. The Author has paid particular attention to the language used and the words were chosen. Every single grammar issue has been resolved and there are no spelling mistakes. I would highly recommend this item to a friend.

A exceptionally well-written piece that exhibits the combination of both elegance and voice. It's not easy to evaluate a story mid-point, but this chapter alone already sums up a quality work of a talented write. Beautiful

-A great book cover, and thanks
for the lovely note, Sandra.
-The artwork is striking and
relates really well to the book.
-Another excellent chapter that
shows more of Charles's evil side
and Amelia's courage, and
enjoyment in standing up to him.
-He thinks he can just have his way,
and the world will stop and pay attention.
-There is romance, as well, with Mildred
and Tommy, but I'm not sure that is
is going to have any kind of hopeful
ending for the two of them, even though
they are very deserving of the love they share.
-I have a feeling Mildred might have already
tried to explain things in her own way.

Poor Mildred, she's in a bit of a state, but hopefully, Veronica will help to cheer her up. We are getting close to the end but there is still a lot to sort out. Thank you so very much, my friend, for another lovely review and all the wonderful stars. I do enjoy reading what you have to say. Big hugs, my dear friend. :)) Sandra, xxxx

How fun they figured out a way to communicate with a card. =} What will become of Mildred and Tommy. I do hope they can be together, but who knows, it might change the timeline too much. Well done as always much dear. Rox

I think I just sent you an empty reply! lol. Sorry about that. Thank you for this lovely review, Rox, and letting me know of your concerns for Mildred. It's a pretty sticky situation. Whether it could work of not, is as yet unknown. You know what the 'powers' are like. :( Thanks again, my friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxx

Another great chapter, Sandra. I just hope Charles suffers total humiliation when the girls start their antics in front of Churchill! I'm concerned about Mildred's obvious love for Tommy, though. Please don't kill him off just to solve the problem!
As always, I await the next chapter with anticipation.

Thank you so very much, Alexis, for all the lovely shiny stars and wonderful review. We are all concerned for Mildred, we'll have to wait and see what happens. Who knows, she might have just discovered he is already secretly married!! :)) LOL! Thanks, my friend. :)) Sandra xx
