Well done with this odds and evens poetic entry. The phrasing's good, but perhaps it's not the perfect shape, you could change the words of the 9 syllable line to do that. But well done, good luck, blessings, Roy

This poem is a wonderful tribute to summer, especially after a long winter. The opening image of smiling in the sun with the breeze at your back is evocative. It makes you excited for summer to start.
