Actually, I thought it was a girl. Some thought it was me as a youngster I wish it was me. Thanks for coming along. Was thinking Haku but Roy Owens says Haku is for plants and wildlife in 5-7-5.

Oh how cute. My youngest granddaughter is charged with resisting a rest on numerous occasions; probably daily. She's nine months old. LOL I enjoyed reading your contest entry and wish you the very best.

Thanks Barbara;. The pic has been around f0or years. I had to re-work the script with some editing and additions to create the 5-7-5.I thought it was Haku bit I was told Haku is for plants and wildlife etc.

This is so cute, and you followed the 5-7-5 syllable count precisely. Great job with your pun--resisting a rest. Many toddlers do that. They have to follow their own schedule, and sometimes they just fall over when they get too sleepy. Cute picture, and may I say it looks like it could have been you as a toddler. judi

I think this is very clever, and it seems to be original I've never seen it before my friend Geoff, well done. Although it's not haiku, haiku is dealing with nature, animals, plants etc. maybe senryu, but definitely a 5/7/5, good luck, blessings, Roy

Ok Thanks for the heads up on not Haku but glad the 5-7-5 works. The picture and the original script has been around for years I re-worked it for the 5-7-5.

Thanks Alex the picture has been around a long time and I re-worked the title into my very first attempt at Haku. Hope I got it in in time as the contest closes today. Have to see if I have fanned you I am like you, I think... I prefer prose but have to lash out on some poetry at times./
