Okay, that is one of the most romantic things I've read in a long time... I am a total sucker for the non-traditional meeting/courting/etc. and that is just wonderful!! Congratulations to you both and HOORAY for love and snakes! :) ;) Yvette

Love and snakes with a vintage Mustang it is. He is still such a sweetheart and tease. I?m glad the snake didn?t scare me away. I am so pleased you like this. I appreciate the excellent and fun review.

Too funny. An interesting story. Im amazed you would ride in that car knowing that snake was somewhere in there. There's a typo/ missing word in " get to know Jack better" part of your write. Hey that's a cool picture. there are photo editing software out there that can bring that washed out / low contrast, old picture look to a more crispy vivid and popping colorful look. Bless you.

Thank you so much for the excellent review and comments. I will fix the typo, thank you. My brother in law had re-done many pictures for me with his photo editing program. This was recently discovered and the inspiration for this impromptu article. It never received the necessary touch up. I am blind and don?t do anything harder than FanStory right now. ?Advanced Editor? on FS is like climbing Mt.Everest.

My husband and love of almost 44 years. He is a sweetheart and still acts like snakes are no big deal. He still loves to tease me, though. I appreciate the excellent and kind review very much. Thank you.
    All my best,

This was a great story, Sal. I especially loved the part when you revealed that Jack and you had been together for so long. That was really something about the snake. Ew, is all I can say. Great job.

Thank you dear Chas. My husband was an Eagle Scout, too. Snakes hav never phased him. He has pinned rattlesnakes even as a boy. I?m glad he?s mine! I appreciate the excellent review.

Awww, Sal... this is a lovely story of love at a few sight...eventually. LOL!
Jack seems to have come out of his shell, just like the snake and its skin, after meeting you. And, after reading - I was dating a few guys at the same time, too - I am sure Jack needed a solid mascot to bring your home :-) to roost. Thank you for sharing this sweet story of high school story. Love it!. ~DD

Thank you so much DD! It is always so good to hear from you. I am pleased you liked my true love story, albeit with a snake! Jack has been singing that song I posted with it for days...Wild Thing!

Ugh! A snake in the car.I get upset if I see a spider dangling from the ceiling. I can't imagine you sitting, in the dark, with Jack, knowing the snake had escaped his burlap bag.
Just reading a story about the WASPs, women who flew planes in WWII - they trained in Texas - the cockpits were open and warm. They were in the air when one gal saw the rattler coming toward her. Lucky she had a brave sidekick - who grabbed the tail and tossed it out.
Ugh I say again. Hope Jack hasn't continued his tolerance of snakes???
Kept my interest - enjoyed the story - from a distance. I grew up in rattler country.

Boys and snakes, what can I say. Jack was an Eagle Scout, too. That explained a lot after after I fell in love with him. I am surrounded by men and they all seem to take snakes in stride. So glad you enjoyed my true story. I?m with you though, snakes?away!

Well. any snake better stay waay out in the field away from me! Rat snake or not--good riddance. I enjoyed your story, Sally. You did a great job with it. Thank you, dear Jan. I am so glad you could appreciate my story. I think we are from the same era from my appreciation of your fine works. I know Commando is the the same age as I am. Thanks again, for the excellent review and kind comments.
    All my best,
    Sal xo
P.S. I haven?t the courage to delve into the story of the little boy without crying my eyes out. He is the same age as my granddaughter, dying on her birthday. I love children and this is just horrifying to me. I will get the story off the news so I can understand your post more fully. My condolences to you and yours if he is known by you. He is in God?s arms as you have stated. XO

Oh! OH! AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! (Hahahahaha!) I cannot imagine having the nerve to ride in that car ever again without knowing Jack had found that snake and let it go in the woods. What a great story! No sixes left this week, Sal, but I loved every word!

Thank you so much Dawn. I hope it cheered you today. Jack and I died laughing at the ?Wild Thing? video; the clothes, the hair, the Nehru suits...too much 60?s fun. So glad you like.

Lol! Loved this story, Sal! And the snake left a little parting gift! I know some people are scared of snakes but I find reptiles have their own cuteness. So glad that you could overlook the snake issue as it seems you found a wonderful husband!
