This is beautiful and full of life and great enthusiasm for this wonderful powerful bird! I actually have some in the high tree's at my GodMom's we see in the summertime and try to get pictures of, but they haven't dared to come up very close to us yet. What a wonderful tribute in your poem and you had so much to say about it--great read! I'll have to bookmark it to read closer at a later time too. :0)) Love this.

Bless you, Ross - and thanks! I really appreciate that.
When I lived in Crested Butte, Co there was one pair we used to see all the time, and when I left nine years later there were, I think, three pair. Magnificent birds.
I have a collection of Bodacious Birds (in verse) and Awesome Animals that I have researched and hope to submit to publishers soon - for middle graders.
What fun to do something like yours!

Such a beautiful and powerful bird, the national emblem. To see them in flight is to behold God's handiwork. Good rhyming scheme in this poem. Enjoyed.

This is a really lovely poem on the bald eagle. You've described this majestic bird and our national symbol well. You've included information for the reader within your piece which makes it especially nice. Marilyn

A very well-written poem about the bald eagle, national bird of USA and a very interesting few facts about this majestic bird of prey. A great example of pride and strength to the AmErica's.

Dear Mystery Poet,
This was a really cool poem about one of our fine national treasures, the Bald Eagle. You provided some information here that I didn't really know - the size of their nests and their length of life. Wow - forty years! I had no idea! But that's awesome!
I thought the poem was entertaining and well written. The lines were fluid and even and soooo enjoyable. Thanks a bunch and good luck!

There's some very interesting facts you have revealed here in your well-worded poem; thanks for bringing them to my attention. I don't live in US; we do have smaller hawks here in NZ.

I never see them flying overhead but in Lichfield they were introduced recently so I am hoping to spot one. I loved your descriptive words and informative study of this bird, your poem is a delight to read with great end rhymes, love Dolly x

I just attended a conservation district dinner where the keynote speaker had helped to bring back the bald eagle to Pennsylvania. Your poem rhymed, made sense, and it educated. Nice job.
