well, upon some of your points I do agree - only from the opposite view - I do not do well at all with rhyming. It's back-breaking, or brain - hurting duty to rhyme. I like free verse, but some that definitely has a rhythm scheme.
So that's why we're all here - to compare notes and learn from each other.
Enjoyed your take on poetry and writers - and it sounds as if you like humor also.
