You captured a heartfelt relationship in a nutshell.

The proximal rhyme of men/friend works for me. Having your son as your best friend is a precious gift.

Thanks for your review. I wrote this poem years ago and it stands true today. I don't get to see him very often but he calls every day, without fail, to check on me.

Thank you. You're right, my children are all my treasure. Most men wish for a son. My son was the last of four. Boy, was I happy when the Dr. said,"you have a son."
