A very well-written dribble flash fiction about the wisdom hair that shines white and most youngsters think we know absolutely nothing about life that we can teach them.

Thanks for these supportive comments Yvette. I was laughing while writing it. I don't have kids, so my friends' white hair is quite entertaining. Mine hasn't quite changed yet.
Comment from Dean Kuch
Ya know, LisaMay, I tell my own kids the exact same thing.
Almost verbatim.
Still, although they haven't lived nearly a quarter of the time I have lived nor experienced anywhere near what I have experienced, they always seem to think they're right and that they have all the answers.
Kids.
Whaddya gonna do with 'em, am I right?
Sometime you just gotta let people learn life's lessons the hard way.

I don't have kids and I don't have gray or white hair, but all my friends with children do. Hmmm.

See what I mean?

Lol. Well, I did hear about children turning their parents' hair white etc. But really, I doubt that it was the kids. Even people without children have that problem.

And don't I know it!

So much truth in so few words. This is a clever contest entry, and I bet you'll do well. Young people see us in a ridiculous way. We all want to live long, but we disparage the elderly. I'm in this contest, too, and you're giving me reason to worry. Well done.

Please don't lose any hair over being in the contest with me! Leave that to young people. Thanks for reviewing.

You're welcome. Collective good luck to us.

I promise not to have a meltdown if you win!

Me, too. :)

Hi LisaMay :)
I swear I only started going grey since the kids were old enough to start stressing me out! And their poor dad...,well, he's very silver these days - I think it's having 2 girls that's done it to him!
I enjoyed your funny dribble flash fiction. Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes, Debra :)

I Debra, I don't have kids so I only started going grey worrying about the worries of my white-haired friends with families. Thanks for reviewing.
Comment from Heather Knight
This Junior is a handful: he causes people's hair either to fall out or to go white.
Very funny story for the contest. The artwork is also hilarious.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Kids don't know the stress until they have kids of their own.
Thanks for reviewing.

Great realistic humour on life, as some of us know it today. Great concept for this short write. Couple of zingers in it that I would totally say myself. loved it. Good contest entry, good luck.

Loved your review. Those comments would probably have minimal zing impact on a youngster, who would just continue doing whatever it is that is causing the worry.
-
isn't that the truth. they have to be taught that kind of humor, just to see if they are listening. lol

Comment from Gloria ....
LOL, this is a most fun entry into the flash fiction contest. I think it works beautifully as the best line is saved for last. Definitely to cause "guilt" perhaps in the mind of young people, on the other hand maybe not.
Best of luck to you with the Contest Committee.

Guilt is an emotion leading to more grey hairs and is wasted on the young I feel! Cheers for reviewing.

Oh, I know that all too well. Yes, the effects of our children's do take their toll, lol. I'm surprised I still have the few wisps of hair left on top of my head, haha. Great write, author. Best of luck in the booth.
