Ha ha, yes get the point and love your footnote on the noose, never thought of it that way before, unless the whole thing is based on the Egyptian southern cross the 12 constellations and the winter solstice
and Orion . Then no cross at all for Jesus. Just thought I would throw that in Yvon. Cheers Colin

Thanks for the great review. The cross was a 'Roman' torture device. Now glorified by Christians because Jesus died upon it. Sagittarius has the Southern Cross.

I am generally a rhyming poem person, however; this is very well written and conveys the suffering of our savior. His sacrifice was well portrayed in your writing.
Very well done and sad.

Hi, interesting poem to think about, but I don't agree. I like the symbol of the cross as it reminds me of his suffering, which for a Christian is a beautiful thing, as without it, none would be saved. But, I see where you are going with your thought process, but switching analogies from one thing to the other, (author notes) doesn't always equate. And for me, it doesn't equate. For me it isn't being tethered to guilt, but to the blood and saving grace of forgiveness through suffering. Cheers, and have a great Easter/Pesach. Eve.

naturally, and I gave you mine. People that are getting hung, aren't saying they're the Son of God and have brought salvation for all humanity, not that I'm aware of, but please feel free to enlighten. That's why the analogy doesn't work in the case of your writing and comments.
