Oh my goodness -- I am totally intrigued!! ;) I now know what I'll be reading about later this morning when I'm waiting in the medical waiting room ... how cool! :) You've written a wonderful abab piece here, ma'am, that just uses the perfect little 'piece phrases' to pique the readers interest! :) ;) Great job! ;) Thank you for sharing such a cool phenomena with us! :)

Hi fellow Aussie,
it was nice to read about the Min Min lights... I saw them myself when I was driving across the Hay plain to Balranald years ago en route from Canberra to Perth. It wasn't scary to see them, kinda comforting to have the ancestors keeping me company.

Hi Kace. This is interesting. Thank you for sharing. So what is the cause of the min-min lights? There have been UFO sightings around the world, I guess these can be classified as the same, unless someone can explain them. I enjoyed reading your poem and the reactions to this phenomenon. Marilyn

Marilyn, My grandmother was aboriginal. The lights are believed to be our ancestors visiting us. Look up on google. I prefer nan's version. Love, Kace.

Wow! A lot of history there. Fascinating thing for you to write about. Many of us would be interested in that. I know I would. :) Marilyn

This is something new and fascinating to learn about. Beautifully written poem to accompany the awesomely written story and equally awesome photo. I am sure I am repeating myself, but I apologize for the short reviews because I still have 112 messages left in my inbox and desperately need to rebuild my pumps and funny money I lost while not being here.

Have you been sick? I've been away for a month, taking time to paint. Take the time to touch the morning my friend. Love, Kay.

This is an excellent rhyming poem about Australia's Min Min lights. I think the Aboriginal explanation is better than the Europeans', since there's no proof of either being right. I suspect it's a wether induced phenomenon, but Ancestors is comforting thought. :) Nancy

G'day N.K. No it's not a weather induced phenomenon. We believe it is our ancestor's visiting. Happy Easter Koala Bear XXX

Hi Aussie,
Oooh, this is a delightful read, Aussie! A super contest entry which should fare well. Nothing here to suggest revising. I have never heard of these lights, I will try googling them.
The stand out is this part:
Europeans grimace, fear on face
Using rifles to scare them away
Do they think their guns will frighten the ancestors! Lol
Good luck and thanks for sharing. Jan :-)

Hello Jimney Cricket. Yes I had a month off to do my painting. Also, I can't afford a yearly membership as $69 = $100 AU. So, I pay monthly = $14.53. Thanks for reading my friend. I will always think of you, happy wanderer. Love, Kace.

This is a very interesting and well written rhyming poem about the Min Min lights that are sighted in Australia. You used great rhyming words and very lovely imagery from the art work you chose. This is very interesting to me. love and blessings, Teri
