Congratulations on this beautiful poem and winner in the 5-7-5 contest. Another one that I was not notified on. I just checked and I did fan you, but some reason, I am not being notified. A legacy outside of myself - I have one, my son... I am grateful that somehow my life will live on in him and whatever he chooses to do down the road. I think you and I are both blessed with sons - they will take the great things that we have taught them out into the word and with our writing and the life we have lead, the legacy is there. Congratulations Beautiful teacher for another 1st place win. Reinforcing one of the fun initials I use each time I review - CQ (Contest Queen). A legacy outside of myself - I have one, my son... I am grateful that somehow my life will live on in him and whatever he chooses to do down the road. I think you and I are both blessed with sons - they will take the great things that we have taught them out into the word and with our writing and the life we have lead, the legacy is there. Indeed, this is true. How often do parents wish to leave a legacy to their children, be it their name, wealth or some other bequest?
Your poem makes the reader think, and I always enjoy that!
What if a parent left their children something from within themselves? What if, indeed!
