This is girl power at its best! lol. Age doesn't come into it. I often wonder what I'd have been like had I lived in that era. They were so courageous back then when they were completely under man's control. It's still like that in some countries. So sad, and so very wrong. xxx

I think of you as Veronica one hundred percent. Strong, capable, imaginative, hearty, loving, appreciative. xo

I've missed more chapters than I realised but hopefully I'm catching up.

Just two small points:
knowing she could comfort her dear aunt, as well. - delete comma after 'aunt'

"Will you tell my aunt that I'm sorry I frightened her ... that I didn't mean to," Gladys asked Mildred. - question mark after 'her' and/or 'to'

Regards. Judy

I think you are there after the next one, lol. And more corrections. Thank you, my dear friend. I'll be watching out for your reviews in future. I've already nominated you for the reviewer of the month, it's a shame you can only nominate once. Thank you again! :)) Sandra xx

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I had saved a note about the two spellings of Bethlem/Bethlehem, when I saw it explained in the next paragraph!

I was right about Amelia not being too surprised... and loved her reaction to Charles' nickname of Venomous Asp. :-)

Thanks again, dear Sue for another 6. The mental institution is still there, but not used for the insane anymore. It was called Bedlam as well. Some terrible things happened in that place. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Sorry if I missed a couple chapters, I've been busy trying to entice a traditional publisher, as opposed to a self-publisher, in my Animated Stills collection.

Now to the story. It's good to find out that their initial concerns were unfounded.
A clever interlude on Bethem vs Bethlehem.
Goodness, the scene turned unexpectedly to anger and hurt.
The hanky was a great idea. A fine chapter as a slow dawning takes place.

Aw, thank you, Tom. You must let me know if you get that traditional publisher, the idea of an Animated Stills collection should entice a few! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

Thank you for this lovely review, my friend, I'm so pleased you enjoyed it. There was a lot in this part and I did wonder if it was too long. But most of mine are. :( Thanks again, Tom. :)) Sandra xxx

An interesting chapter on a beyond the grave account. A tad bit scary, but very interesting. If only these occurrences would happen and help being murderers to justice.

Quite a story - I've read some of your earlier parts. It's making sense and holding the interest. The conversations work well. Although it's still somewhat fantasy, it works.
Good story.

-A very good chapter, Sandra.
-You present a variety of
emotions from the characters,
and it is done very well.
-At first, Amelia comes back,
composed, but gets very angry
when she thinks Mildred is
turning on her by mentioning
Gladys's presence.
-It does not last too long, however,
as she realizes the the truth, but
it isn't easy, especially when
she learns of what Charles did.
-But you manage to bring in
humor when Amelia learns of
Charles's nickname!
-Amelia is more than willing
to help them bring him to
justice so Gladys can be at peace.
-Now we wait to see just
how it will be done!

Hi Pam, thank you so much for your lovely review. This was quite a hard one to write, getting the emotions right. I had to try putting myself in Amelia's place. Would I have believed it? No. Not until it was proved beyond doubt. I'm so pleased it worked for the majority, and especially for you. Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

You are very welcome and deserving, Sandra. I imagine it was hard to get Amelia's emotions, but you did a great job of channeling them. I think I might have fainted, but I did believe it in the story!

Mildred, Veronica and Gladys certainly make a good team. The flying hankie was a nice touch. Just spotted one thing: Then, (with) very gentle care, Gladys wiped away her tears. I really enjoy your story.

Thank you so much, Shirley, for finding that. I made a couple of changes and didn't check it out properly. So I'm really grateful that you did. Thank you for the lovely review, too, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

I can see the parts weaving together very nicely. I tried reading this last night but was too tired to get any meaning from it. I'm glad I tried again. Thank you for sharing this story with us. I really like it.
