This Whitney, Jaunt of the Day, has the proper formatting and describes a good time had despite the lack of emotional support from Mother Nature. Nice.

Well I have been away and come back to sunshine so had to laugh when I read this (sorry!), I bet it was a fun day though, picnic usually are in nice areas and this poem creates images of grassland, lush verdant surroundings and Molly eating all the peanut butter sandwiches! Great whitney again in rhyme and theme.

Your rhyming whitney makes superb use of every syllable to describe a group of people who had fun because they were determined to have fun--
sun or no sun. :-)

This is a very well written rhymed poem in the Whitney format. You expressed how much you wanted to be outdoors even though it was cold. Lovely job my friend. love and blessings, Teri

Jolly good fun even in the clouds. England is known for it cloudy, blustery days. Is is warm yet? I guess warm is relative to where one lives. I enjoyed your rhymed Whitney and lovely art.

    Hi Sally, it's been really cold the last few days but dry....it is feeling a little warmer today though and we have had a good forecast for the Easter weekend, so hurrah!

I enjoyed everything about this poem. The enthusiasm ('embraced the fun'), the adventure, and making the most out of cloudy, cold day. Loved the rhyme, the font and the artwork. A very delightful read :)
