This is an enjoyable read and the question in the opening lines helps the reader to challenge his/her own beliefs and judgement about sports stars. It's a very interesting idea as to why certain people are successful at certain clubs, yet cannot sustain this with other teams. Your examples are clearly explained and thoughtfully described. Thanks for sharing.

It was refreshing to read a sports science article and/ or comment on which I had not done after leaving editorial field in high school. I hope, I do not sound to be like a critical "grammar Nazi," or as if a spell and grammar check function in Ms Word but I read typographical/ grammatical errors e.g., Legaue that don't exist in Merriam Webster, sentences without a verb or anything to link the association of words, usage of 'is' instead of 'are.' I guess, sports has not been my prioritized interest so I don't have an idea on the accuracy of the names of the people here, but this article seems to make me curious on sports and other stuff.
