Awww . . . what a cute poem, Debra, and what a cute puppy you have.
I am a fool with our Bella dog and often will offer her a snack if she'll just do what I say. I give her the snack before she even does it, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

Hostage shmostage haha. You gave her what for, mate. This is a rhythmic little Whitney which I enjoyed immensely and I just loved the way you foiled the thieving pooch with a zero trade off for the safe return of the slipper to your posession.
Now that's about 70 doggie years of disappointment I reckon. Boy is she gonna be dirty on you for awhile haha
Loved this! Sixer for you and the dawg.

HAHAHAHA!
Okay, Let's Trade
by Molly Dog (aka Dawn -- LOL)
Silly Mom
has perfumed feet --
what dogs like most
besides a treat.
She shouldn't wear
her socks to bed --
give them to Molly
Dog instead.

Poor Molly! I can't believe you did this to her! I hope she isn't a vengeful dog or she might really destroy your slipper next time. Thanks for the smile.

Haha! She's too soft to be vengeful....but she does like to steal and hoard slippers...it's her naughty habit!
Thanks for the review, best wishes, Debra :)

She is the cutest thief ever! I enjoyed your Whitney for today and thank you for investigating this heinous crime. Now, she can have her snack once on parole.
All my best,

I am really learning to love the Whitney poems as they have that special flow to the reading like a song. This one has great rhyming and I bet she did not like the idea of no treats. lol

Your poem brings back memories of Grizelda, the dog I had when I was a newly-wed. She would see my wife and me cuddling, get jealous and steal a slipper. She got even more miffed when I took it back and didn't give her a treat. Thanks for sharing. Rod

LOL! I mean, poor thing. Why didn't you give her a snack? She was just keeping your slipper warm for you.
Our dog, Becka, has never been very interested in slippers herself...
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Maria :)
Glad to hear Becka doesn't have the slipper fetish, there's nothing more disgusting than dog slobber slippers!
Thanks for the feedback :) Appreciated as always...
Best wishes, Debra x

I find her so irresistible, Debra!! Her personality just jumps off the page at us! I love that she decides she wants a treat, then does the work necessary to effectuate that. (And then you go and foil her plan!) Another adorable poem! I love how family-centric they are. They're going to make for the BEST book; I'm not kidding! xo

This was a good one, Debra. I thought it was about time for Molly to make an appearance. So no treat this time? Poor Molly. Maybe she'll stop if she's not given a trade. :) Good job.

Hi Chas :)
Molly feels ignored if I don't give her a mention every now and again!
