Barbara, This is a very beautiful and sweet poem about an online lover that gave you sweet and loving gifts not of the material kind. Those are the best kind of gifts to get. Lovely words and imagery from the art work you used. love and blessings, teri

Hi Barb,
Awww, this is so sweet yet sad. It sounds like you miss him. And I'll bet you were every bit as precious to him as he was to you. Thanks for sharing your work, my friend. Jan :-)

Lovenpeace,
I understand about connections with those you have never physically met. I have one as we speak. He has become a good friend and a mentor, and in fact, encouraged me to come back and start writing again.
thank you for posting..

True poems based on life experiences are powerful. We learn from them. Your poem is fluid; it runs down the page unhindered because there's no punctuation. Nice effect!

Thank you Tina. I try never to have punctuation in my poetry, It makes it look and feel hard to me and cluttered. Blessings, Barbara

You are right! I may
consider going
punctuation free
for some poems. Have a
Wonderful day!

How lovely - and seductive. I love the slowness of the read, necessitated by the sparse word(s) in each line. It makes me pause and savor the fantasy of "love" that provided such needed support, encouragement and growth that might not have happened in a face-to-face real-world encounter. Yet, incredibly romantic. I understand...

A lovely offering, written with great sensitivity. Long distance romances really are the most romantic, without the intrusion of daily life and monotony. Each presents whichever part of him or herself he is willing to show, and ugliness stays out of it.

Interesting format. The message is simple and clearly penned. The short, choppy lines fit into the emotional expression -- intense and cherished affection.

This was really a good read, Barbara. I could feel the emotion in this piece and you portrayed it well in this piece. I liked the format and feel it made the poem more urgent. Good job.
