Oh how I longed for days as creatively described in this poem. All I do is work and care for my mother. Hence, the reason that I am rarely on the site.

Oh, I know exactly what you mean, Cindy. I'd love nothing better than to stay home sometimes and be lazy and like you, I ask the same question, how would I earn my pay?

Thanks. I think everyone deserves a day like that once in a while. There's so much other stuff that needs doing on days off. Lazy days are pretty rare.

This poem spoke directly to my heart! I want a day just like that! I'm in my first semester of the nursing program and I havent had a day off in months! As soon as I'm done I'm doing everything you mentioned! Very cute poem! I can definitely relate!

At first , I thought as if the poem were an example of versification but going through it again made me realize that it may be a deliberate effort to exhibit the artificiality of daily routine life.

Obviously you have received great reviews already, so my review is not so timely and just adds a little more icing to your 'all time best' posting.

Your rhymes are spot on throughout.

Regardless, you have painted a vivid story about taking a day off to relax. Reality sets in when you need to pay for that glass of expensive wine in your jacuzzi (-;

Methinks you should edit "till" to " 'til ". It is your poetic choice/style about capitalizing 'Earth.'

I reviewed your verse because the lack of an accompanying picture piqued my interest. Pleased that I did! Normally, I choose to rate short(er)!verses akin to my 575 go-to style.

I like the rhymes used in this poem. The idea you are using in your writing - it conveys exactly how I feel about my life almost every day!!! I am a casual worker and related to this very well! Don't we all get days where we don't want to work, but the need for $$ drives us out of bed and out the door.
