I love this, what a great western poem. Your poetry is a joy to read, what a great talent you have shared with so many. It would make me proud to take second to you in this contest. haha....great job!

In the memory of his people, where their spirits still ride,
Lone Wolf re-lives his legacy of pride.
Hands raised to his God, He shouts out loud,
"I'm the son of my father Chief Black Cloud."
Beautiful imagery and powerful poem
God bless

You have written a very good legacy poem that is reflected in the way you chose to portray the young man. I liked the reference to the tribe and people of the west as they still seem to cast a long shadow through this poem.

Well done.

Your poem speaks evocatively, with respect and passion for the silenced history of the native Americans. I am glad Lone Wolf, the son of Chief Black Cloud, still has a voice, but it will be a lonely echo across that small river bed.
