Your take on society is spot on, I am daily surrounded by people who cannot see beyond the next simple pleasure, let alone the next sunrise. We are pummeled daily by cleverly designed advertisements that sneak their way into our emotions and our wallets and steal our hard-earned money. And, it is indeed money that makes the world go around, and earns privileges for the rich that are not afforded to the middle or lower class, and yet it is the taxes and purchasing by these people that feed the rich.
Our standard of living is strictly based on our income and for us in the Middle Class, that is based on how hard we work-but there are many who have never worked, never faced an overdue bill or got their hands dirty cleaning up someone else's dirt.
The inequality is nothing new, look at any past civilization.
So those at the top are enacting the laws that govern our existence, levy the taxes, decide who goes to fight our wars.
However. we are fortunate that as we gain wisdom we can provide for our selves, make decisions by exercising our God given Free Will and vote for whom we believe in.
Those few things, and our Faith, are our basis for Life.

I like your take on this. Glad you spent more time on the theme and message, rather than the frills, filler, and innuendo. I like how you included advertising. It was not directly mentioned, but inferred as part of the Societal structure. You seem to be able to put a + spin on all things, and ended with faith. Good reviews!
Hebrrws 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
11:2 For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Interesting ramble - and it's interesting what sets us off sometimes. We see a word or a phrase and we're off. in fact I watch for these "prompts" when I read through some of my poetry books.

This has touches of e.e. cummings' style of free verse. He often connected by making them one word or by hyphenating them. This has playful language but is actually a hidden cautionary tale just as the level of social placement. The end though is the crux of this who poem. Well written.

This is a very very clever and thought provoking piece of work. The language used and the pace and rhyming scheme was entertaining and very successful at setting the scene of the message for the reader. I really enjoyed this .
