This one is fantastic!! I like the way it gets a little edgier with each stanza - just like a real coffee withdrawal would do!! Clever and cute and imaginative!! Perk-fect! (Sorry - I tried to resist; I swear I did...) xo

When I run out of coffee, I substitute beer. Probably not for everyone, right?

I like your jaunty poem very much. Just like one should never get between a she-bear and her cubs, one should never get between you and your coffee. Noted.

Me, too! I have coffee administered to me by my husband every day. It's our morning thing. We sit together and hold hands while we drink!

Your tribute to coffee is adorable. A great entry for the contest, dear Debra.

A morning with no coffee sounds like a nightmare. I'd have to go to bed and try waking up from that nightmare. Hopefully you can run to a gas station or McDonalds and at least pick up a quick cup

This was a good write, Debra. I think most of us can identify with the horrors of no coffee being in the house. For some people, it would be "grounds" for divorce. Nice job.

This is great stuff. Many people just can't be approached safely unless they've had their morning coffee. Good luck with the contest. This should do well.

I loved it and the repeating line gave strength and combined them all together . Truth is surely stated. I know those that cant function without it. Great rhyme and flow to the humor
