Dear Kim, Sounds like you want privacy, being "unlisted." Haven't heard from you for a long time. I'm glad you're back with the NaPoWriMo contest. Thanks for giving the description of the "Sapphonic Triad." I will try to write one myself. Good luck in the contest. Donna (Dove)

    Hi Donna -

I promise to get around to some reviewing... it is partly why I've been away so long, I just haven't had the kind of time to do it all justice. The community deserves the interaction :) I appreciate the wonderful comments!

A very modern day Sapphonic Triad Kim about the fantasy of switching off the phone to the outside world. Me personally that wouldn't worry, but for some what anxiety it would bring. I'm sure your Muse will be there for you phone or not. LOL,
cheers,
valda

    Hi Valda,

I'd try not to be anxious, but something tells me it would drive me crazy lol Though, I do like to just get away and do my own thing from time to time. Thank you for the wonderful comments.

Life has changed plenty over the past few decades. Communications is an imperative. A phone ringing constantly can be plenty to handle. Sometimes, it's smart to know when to let everything go to voicemail.

Great poem.

Hi Kim. Good job with this piece. LOL! I've often wondered if phone-a-holics are tempted to bash them against a rock sometimes. I don't have one of the new-fangled phones. I have an old Tracfone that suits me just fine and a land line. I like to be where people can't always find me. Your Sapphonic Triad proves my point, that they are intrusive. Marilyn

    Hi Marilyn -

You are right on many levels! lol I like to have my phone - when I want it, other times, not so much! Thanks for the fun comments!

Well done, Kim! I was slow to accept the cell phone because I had to use one of those huge clunky ones when I was on call for work - so bad memories. But yes, we can get pretty tied to our pocket computers!

    Hi Helen,

This was a fun write. I just hope my Muse keeps checking in all month, or I could be in trouble lol I appreciate your time and comments.

Not sure, Kim. We are all so dependent on our electronic devices that we would trade one for another. Good job with your sapphonic triad. Your well-chosen words fit the style well. The picture is a great pairing with your words, too. thanks for sharing. Jan

A very well-written Saphonic Triad. It seems to be a short and sweet little piece, but I know how much time it takes to get it perfectly right and still make sense with a message to give.

    Hi Sandra -

Short and sweet isn't always my nature, so you've pegged it right, it isn't always easy to get the thoughts condensed into the format. I appreciate your compliments.

I got a real kick out of his one. I just purchased a smart phone and think it is the stupidest thing I have ever done. I have had it two week and still do not know how too operate it. Why do they make them so darn complicated? People my age should not be allowed to get a smart phone. I agree you should set it up so only your muse can contact you. That is a great idea and a terrific poem for NaPoWriMo Day 4.

    Hi Sasha!

I truly hate getting a new phone lol There are those that always have to trade for the latest and greatest technology... I'm more like... Do I have to? lol until I manage to break mine somehow and am forced to upgrade. Thanks for the fun review!

Cell phones these days keep getting thinner and smarter... people the opposite (Anonymous - found on Cool Funny Quotes.com)

What happens when
phones waste away?
They'll vanish. Then
roll on the day!

No more I'll be tied to a phone,
no more a slave.
Fat, stupid and alone.

This was quite a tough one to day. Got there in the end though.

    Hi Jim!

What flattery to have a co-creator of the Sapphonic Triad write one back to me in reply :) Love it!! Thank you!
