I love the photo you choose to go with your poem
It is a perfect match
I remember having a little dog and he was faster than rain
but what a joy he was.

What a cute poem, Debra! I also love the picture.
Do whitneys have to rhyme or is that your decision? I love the rhyme on this one.
Thanks for sharing. And happy birthday again. I'm thinking of writing something for you, but I still don't know what.

Hi Maria :) Thanks for the great feedback!
I think (but don't quote me!) that whitneys are generally unrhymed and I've just chosen to add rhyme to mine!
    Best wishes, Debra :)

Molly is the cutest. She looks like a gem, Debra. Enjoy her. Your Whitney poem gives the reader a glimpse of her charm. Well done for this post in the challenge. Marilyn

Hey, hey i can see it now Molly playing tug-o-war with you and that stick! This is a woof whitney, all in time with Molly's wagging tail, and you can certain hit a whitney with that rhythm stick, with a three and a four you have that syllable count bang on! When they are this good, keep em coming I say!

The more I read your Whitney style poetry, the more I love it. It's like the beat of a song. The nonet is still my favorite, but I will certainly have to give this a try. Adorable dog! This is a sweet as sugar.
All my best,
Sal xo

Ooooooh I love your Molly :) She's beautiful. My silly dogs aren't fetchers or stick dogs. They do love to run around in circles when we go for our walks. We haven't been on a decent walk since I hurt my hip. Hoping my hip gets fixed so we can get out for walks again soon. Our weather has finally warmed up.

This is a fun Whitney poem.

Joy xx

Fabulous aliteration here Debra with the 'hound' sound ringing throughout your words and reminding us that these dogs do indeed have sensitive noses! A joyous poem bouncing around like the dog, love Dolly x

Yay! Another Molly poem. I enjoyed this read, Debra. I think the rhyme scheme you used was perfect. It was bounding like Molly does, I'm sure. Good job.
