This beautiful. Its my last six star. One little change, I would reverse the syntax on the below
"here where is her heart
does depart
from all hustle and bustle
just easy movements with lazy thoughts
deep breaths of fresh air
as she dances with the ferns"
"here, where is her heart" is actually a question if you take it in perspective so just that little bit there is fidgety.
I may reverse with:
"here where her heart is,
does depart
from all hustle and bustle
just easy movements with lazy thoughts
deep breaths of fresh air
as she dances with the ferns"
Regardless, I found this little piece of poetry, exquisite.
Beautifully delivered.
Good to see you are well Linda.
My best wishes.

So good hearing from you RG. I debated that one line and have taken your advise and changed it . . . so much for an old woman attempting to be 'fancy'! LOL I changed it to, "here where her heart lies". And, that you for the six stars. I entered a contest yesterday and didn't even get one vote . . . I think I'm losing it! Linda

Way to go Linda, good to hear from you. My best.

Hello, this is a pretty poem, I enjoyed it. I think the imagery is beautiful. I did find your use of ellipses distracting, and this line is awkward.
here where is her heart
What about: 'here is where her heart'
The artwork is quite inspirational, also.
Thanks for sharing your poem, which is a very good one. If you edit it and are chasing FS stars, get back to me and I'll change the rating.

Well done Linda, you've painted an idyllic canvas with your language rich free verse poem, I like the way you express this Ekphrastically generated work in the noble imagery you use as its vehicle, well done, blessings, Roy

I'm not sure if this is about people enjoying nature or a commentary on how plants are enjoying their day.
Well, I just read it again and I think it's about people. 'as she dances with the ferns' is what convinced me. Nicely written, Linda. Hugs, Lou

Hello Linda,
I love the picture you chose for this post. It is inspiring to get out and enjoy the great outdoors now that the snow has finally gone and all is warming up to take us into Spring. I can't wait to see the cherry blossoms and smell the lilacs. It will be heavenly.

What a sweet and gentle poem with lovely images and a calm feeling about it. I felt calmer just reading it and wanted to be outside listening to the ferns instead of being inside. Ferns are such gentle and ancient plants. Love that image of them you painted and the personification.
Time to get off the computer and go out in Nature. Too early for me to listen to ferns here in Eastern Ontario but still, being in Nature is good for whatever ails you and helps with creativity, too.

It's a lovely painting and I can see why you were so inspired to write this poem. To be at one with nature is the nicest place on Earth to be. You are so right. Your poem goes superbly with the painting. Well done. :) Sandra xx

I enjoyed your lovely poem. Wonderful images that evoke tranquility,
reminding the reader to spend more time in nature - breathing, listening,
all of nature has something to say, right?
In your line "here where is her heart" Did you mean "Here IS where her heart"
Love the art work you included. It's beautiful.
