A very well-written poem about glass and how easily glass can reflect something that come into its range. We sometimes may think we do things no one else sees but we forget maybe our actions reflecting in the window out of our sight.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your wonderful comments supporting the poem and your perspective on it. I wanted to create an articulation of the experience of life seen in these fractured images of glass. estory

Your poem is a delight to read and think about. Glass is so prevalent in out lives, I love how you have itemised the different ways glass features in everyday life and as a metaphor for emotions and showing different actions and situations, from the domestic to the spiritual, the near to the far, the fragments and the whole, containers and reflections. Truly wonderful. Thank you.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your wonderful comments supporting the poem. I think you got exactly what I was trying to articulate; life as a fractured experience seen in one unifying image of glass estory

This is an excellent free verse poem, describing the poet's vision of everyday life associated with glass and with a clarity seldom rendered. The poem has excellent rhythm, and the sibilance of the subject, glass. Those two attributes make the poem easy to say out loud. Well done.

What! Not one test tube or vial mentioned?

I really appreciate the excellent review and your commendation of the craft of form and style, which means a lot to me. I'm glad you found it so well done. And yes, I guess in all the wracking to come up with these different symbols of glass, I forgot test tubes! estory

This is quite captizating and entertaining to read; it holds the readers's attention and provides lots of images to work with. I like the idea of the stained glass windows at the end compared to being in a glass jar--a good wrap up ending with a twist in the 'glass' imagery to show the idea of bondage behind glass to freedom looking out a stainglass window. All the different glass descriptions with the fish bowl to the broken glass on the ground, and the glass piece in a telescope, all are very creative and original pictures that are cleverly composed to greate a beautiful 'glass' piece here that's delicate to read. I like the glass window pane to as a description. Good thoughts on glass!! :0)) Enjoyable! Best,

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for all the comments supporting the piece, as well as your perspective on it. I'm glad the composition seemed to work and get across my idea of depicting the experience of life in a fractured series of images unified by a common image; glass. Also that it seemed to work aesthetically. That's important too. Write on! estory

Dear Author,
I admire how you selected glass to structure your Rhythm and flow amidst your "fragmented imagery". I appreciate your Author's note and I found it added to my enjoyment and understanding of your poem. Brilliant!
My best,
Deborah

This is a remarkable write with amazing images, insights through the image of "glass" and deep reflections on many an object that lead to the last two lines i Yet, isn't the glory and grace of God enough to take all our sins away?

I never thought about how much of our lives are spent with glass, it actually looks like evey every moment of ones life has glass in it. Very nice job.

I am trying to understand your words here and if it is reflections in the glass you refer to as we see ourselves in objects and in nature then I think this is true, we are one with the earth and part of it, love Dolly x

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your perspective on the poem. I was trying to create a fractured vision of the experience of life unified by a common thread or image, in this case, glass. It really serves here as a metaphor for all those little moments of life that often go unnoticed. estory

I don't think a poem could be better.
This should be published.
Your last line ties all of life,
and it's beautiful glittering
broken shards together.
I knew I'd like this, as I love
glass.
Especially blue glass, I have a blue
glass vase in my kitchen the sun shines through.
It holds one single daffodil.
It centers me.
I just SO love this!
Your best!!
Blessings...
