More glass. More stained glass. More fragmentation. I enjoyed the different types of glass references. I imagine this is how someone with autism might view his world.

Thanks for the excellent review and the perspective on my poem. This fits in with the theme of fragmentation, of a fractured experience of life. I think I was influenced by the experience of television, to a great extent. Life spread over a series of images. estory

Quite a tribute to all things glass. Your message comes across loud and clear. We are surrounded realistically and metaphorically, so let's face it glass represents a lot of our world and I love your open, flowing style. Enjoyed the poem.

Hi Estory, I really like this a lot. I like the way the word glass repeats throughout the poem, but in a variety of references. It also has a very nice rhythm to it. Nice job. :)

Thanks so much for the excellent review and for your perspective on the poem. I like fooling around with new forms and I think this is an integral part of the minimalist format; to use repetition, but in varying references to create a sense of slow change, slow metamorphosis. It's an idea I borrowed under the influence of the great Jack Anderson, in his minimalist prose poetry. Read Cafeterias from Clouds of that Country or The Peace of the Evening. estory

This was a good read, estory. I liked the flow to it and the imagery you used in it. It was a very creative and original piece that worked with the word glass being repetitive. Good job.

It's curious how much we take glass for granted - its ubiquity is a relatively modern phenomenon. It has certainly changed our lives and generally for the better. I like the steady rhythmic emphasis as you enumerate the various types of glass and its uses.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and your perspective on this poem about the experience of life, really, seen in the various images of glass. I like doing these fractured pieces in which life becomes a mosaic of disparate moments united by a central, unifying image. estory

And interesting list of the places one meets fused silicon dioxide, SiO2, and I saw a fascinating video on glassblowing once, long ago....excellent free verse.

Thanks so much for the excellent review and all your comments supporting the poem, as well as the perspective on it. Glass is a beautiful thing, from the vases and glassware to the stained glass windows. I thought it would make a great unifying image for all these moments and experiences of life. estory

I found this to be astounding. So many references to glass that bind people to universes to common things scattered about. Then the image of the stained glass windows - the confessional - a whirlwind of images and grace. Excellent work.

Classy glassy
bullet proof glass windshields...intrigued me
That face I've watched in the glass of the mirror,
Growing older and older,
While the goldfish swim around in the glass
Aquarium. The hour glass empties...this reflects all of our lives
God bless

You really get into the different kinds of glass and their literal and spiritual characteristics and uses. It has a lot of images.
