Good job working with the theme. It would be a real sad event for a child to bury their mother - but to have the grandparents to go to is great. A twist to the story of being with grandparents. I'll have to make something up my grandparents all were too far away to spend much time with - altho we sure loved them a lot.

God love you. I think it is especially hard on the adult sometimes, for you not only grieve for yourself but for your granddaughter's loss as well.
This was truly a beautiful poem about your daughter, too; not just about the loss, but about the loving woman she was.
I'm so sorry, and I will keep you in my prayers. Loss is extremely difficult, and life is never the same :(

Thank you so much for these kind words. It is hard to deal with this senseless loss but the best thing I can do for my precious daughter is to take care of her little one.
