Good poem and good picture. Time flies for all of us and our grandparents were before us. The day they leave we will miss them, I wish I had recorded everything my grandmother told me, all of it was history. But we were all young and our minds were on today and yesterday not on the future. This is a good entry for the Child's time with a grandparent.

What a lovely, touching poem! Yes, grandparents and great-grandparents play
key roles in young ones' lives--and vice-versa. They are as much our heroes as we are theirs. You've made excellent use of specifics.

No, I agree with you. He is not your grandson. He is my oldest grandson. He is a teenager now. Since I'm a cartoonist and illustrator the grandchildren would say.."hey papaw I like this cartoon can you do this for me?" Since I have done numerous rock posters in the past. Well they still keep requesting..lol. I promise you I do ask.. what would you like to have for birthday or Christmas? Money?game? clothes?... the response is can you make me whatever poster. Well one thing for sure. They aren't asking cause they are just being nice..lol..I do thank you for selecting my work..oh btw I hope you saw the post/announcement from healingmuse titled in "invitation". Over time I make music videos. As example you can find them under YouTube.com "MKFlood Presents". They are wide range of music and topics. The administrator of these FAN sites is going to let me create a music video. The music will be Queen's"we will rock you". Healingmuse is helping me get the word out on the FS side... Bryan Taylor is helping me on the Fanmusic side and of course I'm covering the art side. All I'm asking is the FAN member send me only 1 image that the member feels that represents them. It can be any image. Then send it my email (1mkflood@gmail.com). The deadline is April 30. We would love for you to join us. Great job on the story and thanks again... MKFlood

Bently has an ego. Also, he sounds prepared to be on a dating website. He is smarter way beyond his years if you ask me. And he ends up being the most loving grandchild. Well thought out and clearly written. Great storytelling. Nice work.
