Aaack! How did I miss this one?? The start of school is always nutty, but I'm sure I haven't skipped anybody in my messages... ugh!! :) Anyway....
CONGRATULATIONS!! Hope I'm not too tardy in these wishes (school's got my timetable off!) ;) :)
And your words are so very true here, June -- words are more painful sometimes than a physical jab ... especially the typed/written ones that are emblazoned on our brains and the page/screen forever!! ;) :)
Take care and thank you for always sharing your talents with all of us! ;) ;) Yvette ;)

This excellent poem gets my last 6! Your swap quatrain is skillfully and accurately
written. The theme conveyed is one that should be written on the hearts of all
who have children in their care!

Hi June. This is a very well written swap quatrain. It reads smoothly and with good rhyme. The image works nicely with your piece. Best of luck in the contest. Marilyn

I am giving you a little six for the creativity and repeat lines working well. It seems a simple poem, but simple does not mean not good, in fact, simple always, for me, the best meanings in life.
Good luck in the competition.
Hope it goes well.
My best wishes.
I like rhymes . I was thinking of entering but perhaps enjoy reading instead.
My best wishes.
RG

I love this poem June. I am not yet familiar with all the different poem format, but I like the reuse and slight switch of the words in the first and last verses of each stanza.

Very well done and good luck in the contest.

A very well-written rhyming swap quatrain poem. When we teach our children all the right things from a young age they will know not to seek any other way to satisfy their needs.

This is a very nice entry for the Rhyming poetry contest, June. The swap quatrain is not an easy one to write. I think you did a good job with this one. The only suggestion would be to find a way to use 'regret' in place of 'forget' in line fifteen to eliminate repeating get and forget. Well done otherwise. Nancy:)

Wow! This was a brilliant poem to reflect how sharp and cutting our words can be. You did a fabulous job with your rhyme and rhythm in this Quantrain poem. Good luck in the contest. Judy
