Well done, Euell! I like how you interwove the past painful memory of the racist tormentors and discouraging father to the current encouragement that he gave his sister that bore fruit. And I never did quite get that phantom that keeps appearing from another universe but more will come. So glad to see you post again!

Thank you! :) March has been a strange and challenging month. My mental and physical self is almost numb from the exhaustion. I appreciate your review and time as always.

Hi Cybertron,

This is a terrific story -- very imaginative, even though it's real life. I believe we grow by revisiting the past and comparing "then" to "now," and mulling how our perspectives have changed.

Only one small nit, in your notes section:

"My name and my sister¢??s name is printed below the drawing we submitted."

The text editor has inserted some gremlins here.

Thanks so much for sharing an entertaining read. I am intrigued as to where you're going to take this story next.

Jan :-)

Hi there,

This continues to intrigue. The tone is slightly off but works for this peculiar tale. It is definitely, I think, unique.

Good stuff

You're a little too early from Halloween, - maybe for rather than from here.

All thee best
GMG

I?ll work on it, and add onto the ending to keep the tone consistent. Thank you for that helpful insight I neglected to acknowledge.
