This seems to be about the effects of love poems or maybe political protest poems that get you to act. This is a good entry into the contest and should do well. Good luck.

This is what we all hope to achieve with our writing, to evoke emotion, make someone cry or make them happy, if we have done that, then we have reached that person's heart and soul, love Dolly x

He must be a great persuader, or you are a very susceptible woman.
(Or, I have the genders wrong.) Bonfires in your veins! That is a torrid reaction!
Good luck in the 5-7-5 fire contest.

Yes to both the persuader AND the susceptible woman charges...and correct with genders, as well. And you're even on fire with the 'torrid reaction' part! You're smokin' accurate this morning, Don!! Thanks for a very fun review.

You're very welcome, Susceptible Woman. (I'm tickled pink that I got it right.)

Wow! They must be powerful writings indeed. But you're right, books can inspire many strong feelings.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

Maybe I should have included "when paired with a vivid imagination"? lol
Thanks for your very nice review, Maria; I always appreciate your feedback.
Comment from Janice Canerdy
You have really used your syllables effectively to vividly convey the theme of the power of words to seduce. You have created a very powerful simile to make the
point.

Nice concept of the idea that words can light a fire in your blood.... excite you and maybe drive you on to greater things. Written within the set parameters...nice work.

Thanks, Bill! It makes me so happy to read this review from you.

The correct syllable count, and the assumption that metaphoric emotional fires are acceptable to the prompt, make this look like an excellent post and a valid entry to me.

Some authors are able to connect with their readers on a very personal level.
Whether it be the style of writing they've created or the topics they use and the words they use to describe a situation in a setting.
It's not a skill that can be taught. It is something intangible yet inherent in some writers.
E. L. James managed to do it in her novel, Fifty Shades of Grey.
Nicholas Sparks tugged on many heartstrings in The Notebook.
I imagine the topic of your 3-5-7 entry is referring to something like this.
Best of luck to you in the contest.

Hello Author... I feel as if I just opened one of my Outlander books! I must have if there is fire flowing through my veins... could be the wedding night scene... or maybe the scene where Jenny has to come in and throw water on Jamie and Claire... that's a real killer! Well, there are about a million of them in those books... lol Very well done ;)
