And you would know and understand because you helped people with pain as you cared for them during your nursing career. And sometimes, even the pills can't help, especially if it's of the heart. Well said!

I'm surprised that being a naturalpathic (sp?) doctor, you would laud the pill. However, the last line emphasizes the relief doesn't last long. You could extend this into a longer poem if not for the contest requirements.

Hi Alie. You snuck a post in on me. I just checked your folder the other day and saw nothing new. This little 3-5-7 is composed and illustrated well on an important topic. My heart goes out to those who must take pain meds. It does relieve the pain, but some meds are dangerously addictive which from your profession you know all too well. Good luck in the contest.

My heart goes out to those who must take pain meds. It does relieve the pain, but some meds are dangerously addictive which from your profession you know all too well. Good luck in the contest.

I loathe taking prescribed medication for my Congestive Heat Failure. On the other hand I realize if I simply stopped I would die very soon.
I guess you gotta take the good with the bad, 'ey?
Your 3-5-7 is well composed utilizing the proper syllable count as required.

We have all had pain and know how real it is. i found this very short contest poem to be lacking. It is called Pain as the title so you didn't have to use it to start such a short piece. We already know what it is.

We have all had pain and know how real it is. i found this very short contest poem to be lacking. It is called Pain as the title so you didn't have to use it to start such a short piece. We already know what it is.

I am glad pills help you. I have come to rely on CBD oil. I like natural substances. But I know how pain grinds you and makes you want to scream. I love your artwork, as it is the personification of pain. I wish you good luck in the contest and may your pain subside.

A very well-written 3-5-7 poem about pain. We all have pain in one or other way and at different levels in our lives. Sometimes the pain is too much for us and we cannot handle the pain by ourselves.
