An epic of a poem! I can only say "WOW! WOW! WOW! Your true talent is coming out since your thinking was not inhibited.
I learned a lot from this penning, too many to isolate

OMG... I never knew about Roy G Biv. I've never known how to color a rainbow and I'm gay! Now I can be an informed Lesbian. on a more serious note:
I have never read a description of a sky and sunset the way you have described it. It has a lot of feeling to it. Maybe that's what makes it stand out for me, because some describe it like it's a painting. The other thing that strikes me is the comparison to water. Whenever I see a certain blue, such as today's blue, I think to myself,"that is the color of the water in the Carribean. I couldn't believe the color of the water when we were on a cruise. The water in land-locked Vermont is brown lakes, ponds, and reservoirs. Or clear rivers running over rocks but never blue. So I especially loved your 3rd stanza. This has a very nice positive light tone too. There is so much more I could say but this is enough for now. If you want me to write more let me know.

Thanks Liz I'm why'd you have to tell you about really deep as I am also family. I really enjoyed your notes, are comparisons in your descriptions to the colors and so happy that you enjoyed this piece. If you like this, you might look in my portfolio a ways back the very first Palmetto after I published my book was primary colors and then there's another poem about colors. I'll get the name of it and I'll shoot you so you can look for it. Thanks so much your comments are really icing on the cake today as I have just under Ian and Anthony have new knowledge with a really good friend they came to visit me 24 years later. Thanks again you really made my day I appreciate you and know you don't need a ride more you've already written enough thanks again.

    Blessings,

Such a creative poem, Darren! I like how you present us with the full spectrum of colors we can see in Nature. It was fun looking for the colors of the rainbows scattered throughout your suite of 5-7-5 verses. My favorite one was:
"unwrapping slowly,
the deep indigo sapphire
flashing like a star"

Hey I really appreciate your thoughtful comments and it means a lot to me when you mention which one is your favorite. That one was my particular favorite too. I was going to say shining like a star but that just didn't seem right so flashing was a good adjective to use for that. Thank you so much for your kind comments it's a pleasure and an honor to write with you here.

    Blessings,

Hi Badger,

This is a very nicely written poem and your notes are effective in helping your readers to understand the context. Nothing here for me to suggest you consider improving upon. Thanks for sharing. Jan
