Thanx for those awesome stars, dude - really means a good deal coming from you, sir!! :) ;)
Okay, so the blonde is gonna be blonde again: this muting means that, what, there's a feature I don't know about where you 'turn somebody's posts off'....you don't get their posts? you don't get their reviews? Either way, how insane is that?! I've got a short list of folks that I've flagged for me personally (for one reason or another), but that's not something I would want done for me because even jerks write something not so bad once in a while... lol! People REALLY need to grow up ... surrounding yourself with only opinions directly in line with yours is the same as always nipping off the terminal bud of a plant -- its growth is forever stunted to the size it currently is...and thus, so is your mind's growth stunted to its current understanding. Very sad for them, sir. Very sad.
Glad to hear about the next book taking shape -- I'm nearly halfway through your journey with you in this one and it is awesome...I'm saving my complete review for when I'm completely finished! :) ;)
You and Cyn take care out there! :) ;) Blessings to you both! :) :)

Really good. Really good. Any mother would feel the same. That flutter. And then you're in for it! I thought you used imagery, description and humor to create a piece any mother, or father, would love to read over and over. Love has a way. It's own way. This was very well-written. I enjoyed it!

Beautiful poem of a mother's love! They change you forever, don't they? My favorite lines were:
"Now comes the tango of standing firm, stepping back,
Of loving while letting them go"
It's a hard balance of nurturing and protecting but letting go. Really well done, Yvette!

Look how adorable they were Yvette! In their little Rugged Wear shirts! They are Rugged Wear aren't they? I worked for them just out of High School. They were the ones who made those shirts back in the early days though, before the big boys got hold of them! ;) So sweet this poem. Good luck!

Yeah, that's one of those photos you looked at so you didn't kill them .... LOL! :) :) And I can't remember the name brand on them...I just know that it was one of the few brands that came in all three of their sizes....I certainly didn't buy them to match like this except this was a Christmas Card photo that year! :) ;) So glad you enjoyed, Susan -- you take care up there, ma'am! :) ;) Yvette

Oh my!

This poem really does pull at the parental heart strings. From conception to adulthood.

A gorgeous contribution Yvette. Truly outstanding verse.

Best

This is a very lovely, well-written, touching poem. You have movingly taken us from
conception to adulthood of precious children; you have descriptively addressed
the love, anguish, and challenges of parenthood.

The picture is not sideways, and they're adorable. I bet they grew into handsome men. You write 'mush' well. (LOL) I'd say you pretty much have every genre covered. This was a very touching poem. I'd slap a six on it if I had any left this week.

That's one of those photos you looked at so you didn't kill them .... LOL! :) :) And thanx for the lovely compliment, ma'am -- but mushy's tough for someone whose career was one where she was one of only few women...and still managed to make a great reputation...but, mushy? Nope, there wasn't room for that (and there really shouldn't have been so, it's not a complaint! LOL!). Take care up there, Dawn! :)

"A Love that Endures", is an extremely well-written and deftly descriptive piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. Very few parents would have trouble relating to this piece. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have
fives left. I look forward to seeing your next post.

I love your love poem. So poetic! In the wake of full term abortions, that I can even imagine any human doing to a baby, I am so happy that other embrace motherhood, grandmotherhood, and womanhood! Thank you!

This is a lovely poem and a lovely photo to go with it. I love the missing teeth in the boy in the rear. For me, the rhythm was a bit dodgy in places. I don't know a lot about poetry and I'm probably very old-fashioned and set in liking a rhythmic 'metre' if that's what it is called. Good luck in the contest. I hope it does well.
