Thanks for sharing your opinion. It is such a tricky business once everyone joined the internet world and online commerce has been sneaking up on us and tracking what we like and what we buy and what we search online. We need to be really judicious. I know on Facebook, I try my best not to "like" posts that friends have posted as that will target me for ads. It's a crazy world. There will be future legislation about what these companies can and cannot do.

I agree with what you say here, Aryr. However, privacy is not equally important for all of us. For example, I don't mind sharing pictures on Facebook while some people I know are horrified by the idea.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Maria for reviewing and for your interesting comments. I agree with your comments, it becomes a case of 'to each their own', people as in you, me, the man down the street should do what they are comfortable with rather than the way it has come about.

Your opinion is worth more that gold, Alie, for everyone of us people do like privacy. I was on Facebook for a time until an question was asked of me (on the Facebook screen) like a fool I clicked and all my pictures were shown. I stopped it but it was too late. I miss my friends from far away but I like to be me.

Oh, yeah -- technology and the 'information age' certainly moved in faster than any restrictions could be built into it...now it seems the only ones protected are the 'online bullies' on social media that can post at will anything and remain anonymous. Thanx for sharing your opinion, ma'am! ;) ;) Yvette

Hi Alie. Your post is well written. I've not read JD's post yet, but I agree with protecting our privacy to a point. For example FaceBook is one of the biggest offenders, we're being tracked on the internet whether we like it or not. I don't go onto FB for this reason, deleted everything deletable, but have left the account open for those who are still on it. The internet follows our every move. It's intrusive with unwanted ads and comments popping up. I make it a point NOT to buy any products from these intrusive ads. Marilyn

Thank you Marilyn for reviewing and your great comments. I do agree with you that tracking is prevalent everywhere.

The problem is mankind will still remain evil in general terms, no matter what laws are made to restrain them. There wete 50 people killed as they worshipped in two mosques in New Zealand, a few days ago by White extremists, that level of violation of liberties is unbelievable. It's men's hearts that have to change. But I agree with the premise of privacy, well dine, blessings, Roy

I agree with you. Too much technology, and we gave away our privacy on social media as well. We'll never get it back. The government knows everything about everyone, and they have no right to store it, yet they do. Don't get me started!
