-I really like the image, DD,
and the presentations is good.
-The syllable count is good.
-effective use of alliteration.
-The chameleon is a very
unusual animal in its
array of changing colors!
-It's just a suggestion, but
I would consider an em dash
after the first line, and change
sees to see.
-Good luck in the contest.

This was a good read, PoemsofDD. You really captured the chameleon and their defense mechanism. It had a good flow to it as well. Good job and good luck in the contest.

I've never seen one in real life but I think my friend saw some lizards when she was travelling around Florida. Not sure she saw a chameleon but it would be cool to see them change colors for sure. Great job
