I think you're building a great story. The drugging of Mckenzie is the first of a significant amount of murders, (drug cartel, that spells trouble) so Mckenzie's folk have also been murdered, as well as Logan's sister. Well done Barbara, good scribing, blessings, Roy

This was a good chapter. I like the way you're pacing this. The dialogue is really good and realistic. Logan seems like he's starting to have feelings for McKenzie. Good job. A couple of nits: Yes, John Benson was arrested but died in prison before the trail, (trial)
