Hi, Yvette,
This was so sad! I think for a mother to leave her children when they are the ages of hers is incredibly heartbreaking. Who else but their Mom can help them navigate the time of hormones and too much temptation in the world?
This was written very poignantly. Good luck to you in the contest,

Well, it wasn't like she 'left', MP -- it does happen. :) Thanx for your review and well-wishes -- have a great weekend! ;) ;) Yvette

A very well-written heartfelt flash fiction. We never know when we will say the last goodbye, that makes it even more important not to let a moment pass not to tell our loved ones how much we love them.

Hi Yvette,
Gasp! WOW - this is one terrific power write, my friend, with very sound advice! This is a superb contest entry - I can't imagine it not being a strong contender. Very concisely written. You pack a lot of meaning into so few words - amazing! Well worthy of a sixer, but I'm sorry to say I'm all out. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest. Jan

Brilliant, Yvette! A sure winner in my opinion. I didn't suspect the ending, and it came as a wonderful surprise, not at all sad because of the angel taking her to Heaven. Bravo! :)

Wow that took a sudden a unexpected turn. But hey I was looking for some spunk and you gave it to me Beautiful Teacher please tell me you aren't traveling on any of those dreaded airplanes anytime soon! I have more anxiety just thinking about it. What a sweet way to go thought with the nice over view of the family. If that is how it works out, which I don't think for me it will be my ending- but if that is a option it will bring lots of peace to my heart. I am super envious of all the flash fiction writers MRW & CQ!- good luck in this contest! Cheers, Fonda

Well, you flummoxed me all to pieces. I had to read this 6 times to be sure of what I was reading. This is - it really is - I have no words. You know how to knock the stuffing out of a guy, well, a girl, but who is counting? This is terrific, in a weird, sad way. Wow! A haymaker for sure. Love this and never saw it coming! Best of luck in the contest!!

Hi Yvette, What a sad story... totally unforseen ending, I really didn't see it coming. I was sure she was on her way out the door to yet another meeting or something and that she was someone who was just never ever home. Then again, I guess she never will be again...

Yikes. This is quite the lesson, Yvette. Beautifully written full of love, both genuine and rueful. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this this evening. This seems like a front-runner for sure. xo
