Be afraid, be very much afraid. This little girl knows far too much about politics and warfare. Sleep with one eye open just in case she decides to stage a bloody coup and replace the ruling order in her domestic kingdom where her parents currently rule. You have been warned.

A wonderful entry for the contest. This story is cute. It made me chuckle. Amazing how children see things, and their imagination is astounding. The story flows very well and it is an easy read to follow. Well done. Good luck in the contest. I think this story should win. I would like to give you 6 stars but my allotment is out.

This is great! Sounds like the kid has been watching too much cable news. Grandfather is certainly confused about the names and titles, and then he has to learn about all the machinations going on in the doll world. It would probably dismay Grandpa, but the child has all the makings of a political operative. Excellent and humorous. Best of luck in the contest. judi

LOL! Verrry clever. Gotta love that kid. Where did she learn to "play" like that? Watching 24/7 news too much? Really adorable kid, in her own way. Grandpa better not cross her! :)

This is a very good 150 word story you have penned about Emily and her toys. As I was reading it I noticed the My Little Ponies which our grandson loves too. Best wishes in the contest. Blessings, Teri

Emily is hilarious. First, it was normal for a little girl to correct an adult on the identity of her dolls, but then she goes on in a heartless uncharacteristic way of a normal little girl about the future of the other dolls. For me this is hilarious.

Hi Bill
This is an excellent piece making full and genuinely engaging use of a very small format. The underlying 'sinister' atmosphere creeps like a fungus until the final line obscures all light. This is very good writing indeed.
I am impressed and I wish you well with your continued development as a writer. This is one of your best.
cheers

Hi Bill,

This is funny.

I don't know if it matters to you, but it does to the little folk.
Celestria should be Celestia and she is a princess.
Kaydon should be Cadence.
Pinky Pie should Pinkie Pie.

(yes, I have a 7 year old daughter... deep sigh)

My research was a verbal identification from my three-year-old. I will revise it for my pre-school followers. :)
