it favors neither man nor beast,
the violent, splayed, errant sky
flows from the west on to the east

Wow! Superb drama in your rhyming quatrains. I like the onomatopoeic words like "swooshing" and the visual of "black vortex" and the great use of alliteration throughout.
One spelling nit:

Many thunder storms are so helpful to the farming industry. I do not like lightning, but thunder does not really bother e too much./ Many blessings for a great day.
