A very well-written Cinquain poem. The ability to see tomorrow at midnight will be of course you must be awake at the time to see the following day before anyone else who may be asleep.

Yeah, there you are, right on top of it. Then one more tick slaps tomorrow twenty four hours away....and no amount of squalling will erase half a line...two four six eight two, looks like an excellent cinquain to me...

This is philosophical, Yvette. I try to avoid that precipice when I can. Seriously, there is a mystery to the hour of midnight. I like how you put it "twixt night and early morn." I think that you capture the mystery of the moment.
This is a sophisticated, expertly crafted cinquain. Like with everything else that you write, you could easily win.

Thanx for all your wonderful words here, MQ -- this was just me with my fantasy in the real world brain on 'relax for the evening' mode...LOL! :) Glad you enjoyed...these usually don't do as well, but they are my favorite kind..:) ;) ;) Thanx for your awesome belief in me, ma'am -- it really is a boost when I'm starting to doubt myself!! :);) Take care and be sure to let me know about the decision about your mom.... fingers crossed! :) Yvette

Mom passed. Still on hospice! They are so helpful with her.

-Very nice image and
presentation, Yvette.
-The syllable count is good.
-I like your topic of midnight,
and the description that
goes with it.
-I like the ending to, as it
is possible to reflect at
this time, and at least
get a sense of the future.
-Good luck in the contest.

You are very welcome, Yvette. I wasn't sure what to say about the ending, but the poem worked, as imagination is what it is all about, in my opinion!

Twilight and midnight makes for wondering in ones mind what's next on the hat can happen before the crack of dawn. Nice work up for your poem and putting wonderment in our minds.

Very cool way to see that sectioned time that way in your thought-provoking cinquain, Miss Yvette! I like the "glimpse the future!" Here in the very north, sometimes it feels like the dawn shifts much closer to midnight especially in the summer.

How beautiful is this? Simply gorgeous. I love it!
A wonderful poem. I wish I had more than six stars to give but I am only mortal.
All the best.

Well, I am certainly glad that you are mortal and can award such beauty, John -- you just put a big smile on my face on a Wednesday...so, that's saying something......Hmmmmm, maybe it's mortal with super-powers! ;) ;) I 'm so glad you enjoyed my poem, sir -- you be sure to have a wonderful remainder of the week! :) ;) Yvette

Hmm, I never thought about it that way, Yvette. Midnight when the past meets the future weeps a little while and smiles, grows older as time takes wing. This is a good entry for the Cinquain Poetry contest.
