I thought your poem worked well within its structure and I enjoyed the content. I also liked the way you worked out the syllables and its verses. Your image of candle flames dancing was vivid.

Sitting on my parents' back porch
Eyeing the candle's flame dance and scorch,
I'm an alert bird in its nest.
Country living is so the best.
