I love this one. The characters come to life with action and emotion. I can't wait to see what happens next. All this sherry in this chapter...not a bad idea. Maybe some tea.... Great job! LOL!

Thank you so very much for the lovely 6 stars, and wonderful review. I had to laugh at your comment on the sherry, I know it sounded like a lot, but it was only one small glass which Mildred took tiny sips from ... until that last big gulp, LOL. Mildred is your epitome of a good cuppa tea drinker, as that is her favourite 'tipple', lol. Thanks again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is a wonderful chapter. I can see the children like Mildred very much. I think Mildred's idea was wonderful. I agree it is to ensure history is changed. This way they don't have to kill the Vice Admiral. This flows well. Well done. I look forward to the next chapter.

Thank you so much, Sandra, for your lovely review! Yes, the children adore Mildred. Now to get the plan sorted out. Veronica will enjoy doing that. Big hugs! Sandra xxx

This is a beautifully balanced chapter, with the oh, so realistic conversations with the children (how well I remember our dear daughter's teenage years! LOL). You have slipped that in cleverly to maintain the suspense and our curiosity to find out what Mildred's idea was going to be.
It sounds as though you're going to have quite a bit of fun with the chapter describing the haunting of Vice Admiral Charles Pembrock!

I never had daughters, only two sons, but my dear mother always told me how I drove her mad with my diet fads in my early teenage years, bless her!! We laughed about it years later. Thank you so much for this lovely review, Tony, and all the beautiful stars. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

Hi Sandra,

You are amazing to find a much better solution to the problem than killing the man. How awful to be in that position. I like your murder-free solution. Well done. Now we can get on with the rest of the story. I just love these characters and your storyline.

I couldn't see Mildred killing the Vice Admiral, she's such a gentle soul. Thank you so much, Joy, your constant support has been amazing. I really appreciate you, my friend. Big hugs, Sandra xx

Great as always, I found no 'nits.' =} I'm glad they have come up with a way to stop the Vice Admiral without having to kill him. If he is this evil someone will do it one day I'm sure. Great job. Rox

That was an interesting chapter Sandra that provided a solution. Mildred I do believe can be a bit of a tease when she wants to be. I did like the idea of Lady Ann and Gladys being back in the picture, but if Veronica can pull this off it would save having to use them. It would be nice if they were able to meet and even greater that Gladys was able to learn of his failure because of her. Great job. Hugs and smiles.

Hi Alie, thank you for another lovely review. Yes, Mildred can be a tease, as Veronica is finding out! lol. I have to explain that Lady Ann isn't coming back, Mildred was just reminding Veronica what she did when she was with her. I've not changed that paragraph to make it clearer as you weren't alone in thinking I was bringing her back. BUT Gladys will be back! Although they have to find her now the hospital has been bombed. So spooky things are coming! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Ahaa that does make sense about Lady Ann, it was great reading regardless. I eagerly await what happens about Gladys. You are so welcome.

I really wanted to know that, Linda!!!!! LOL!!! I'm now sitting here scratching every scratchable part of me!!
I laughed when you said Mildred is a lot like me! LOL, how do you think I've managed to write her part so well??
Will The VA scare easily? Hmmmm, Can I send you in?? LOL!!

Thank you lovely Lady, for giving me all those stars, and for the usual fun review with I love so much. I'm always in fits of laughter when I read your reviews. Graham always says, "Linda?" LOL. Love you lots, my friend. :)) Sandra x

Ian took a tumble on Saturday, he tries to stand up but his balance is awful. Well, he and Maggie went to see the surgeon on Friday and a transplant is out of the question. They don't think his body is strong enough to go through an operation that long. And the heart by-pass is now worrying Ian more than ever. He is now so depressed, the doctors have made an appointment for him to see someone. I worry so much about him.

Sarah is doing well. It looks like she will be having her next op sooner as opposed to later. She's much happier now that she's made the decision to go ahead. At least she is getting somewhere positive in her life. Thanks for always caring my friend. :) xxxxxx

OH Sandra, is't it better to try...then not to try if he doesn't have a chance without it...OMG...do they think by waiting he could get stronger???...that I could understand...it a tough call sweet girl...sigh...I know being depressed doesn't help...I have been there...maybe if he sees someone it will help him build up...he is blessed Sandra to have loved ones there to get him through the rough spots...but I am glad Sarah is doing much better...and you take care too...this plays on you as well...love you so bunches...and I'm off to Hobby Lobby...have to find some flower decals...finished painting the picket fence on Grace's wall...well send you some pictures...LOL...love xxoo

This was a well-written chapter, Sandra. I enjoyed reading it. I like the way you extended for readers about finding out the plan--just like you did for James and Veronica finding out the same. The inclusion of the children's' activities was a nice little break and created more suspense until they were tucked in bed. I like the solution and it seems plausible. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to the next chapter. Jan

Why is Lady Ann still around? Wasn't her death avenged in the last book? Or am I mistaken. Good homsey chapter with the kids. Veronica has quite the detective intuition, doesn't she. Enjoyable read my friend.

Hi Diane, No, Lady Ann isn't still around. Mildred brought her into the contest as an example as to what Veronica can this time. Do you know, that was in book one, and this is book three. I can't believe I've almost written three novels! Thank you so much for another wonderful review, my friend. Big hugs. Sandra xxx
