Thank you for sharing this poo of a poem. I know that memory has haunted you through the years. I had a similar story happen to me only in high school and the terrible embarrassment it caused! Sorry but my muse had to share that. Hugs

This is a sweet and very real and relatable poem about childhood fear and insecurity. The story has an appealing innocence and believability, and a good lesson at the end that it took me a while to teach my daughter. Your rhymes work well, although you do occasionally go off on the meter - nothing major, just an occasional minor distraction. The only thing I would suggest is to throw in an occasional semi-colon to avoid run-on sentences. Otherwise, though, I enjoyed this and read it with a smile.

This made me smile and children are particular about their toilet business and i remember my eldest child refused to go to the school toilet too! She took a lot of persuading! Your poem is a lot of fun and I wish you luck with the contest, love Dolly x
